Service Description for the General Public
Service to the General public will be provided by a point-to-point, demand response, contracted service. This is a shared ride service and not a taxi service. In this model service will only be provided when requested. The service will consist of transportation from one pick-up point to another pick-up point within Finley and between Finley pick-up points and the BFT Dayton Street Transit Center. This service will be provided by BFT contractor A+ Transportation.
Service Description for Dial-A-Ride Eligible
Persons eligible for Dial-A-Ride service will receive door to door service from origin to destination. Persons must apply for this service through the BFT Dial-A-Ride program and meet the eligibility requirements of the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA). Days and Hours
Finley service will be provided 6 AM to 6 PM Mon. – Fri. and 8 AM to 6 PM on Saturday.
Fares
The cash fares for Finley service will be the standard BFT fares - $1.25 for adults, $.80 for youth and $.60 for Medicare card holders and persons with disabilities who are not eligible for Dial-A-Ride service. Persons 60 and older ride free, children 5 and under ride free if they are riding with an adult. You may use regular BFT monthly passes and Ten-Ride tickets for this service.Remember . . . Drivers do not make change!
How to get a ride
Finley service is demand response – you must request service to receive service. (See exception below) You must request your trip the day before you want the ride. To request your ride, call 544-8244 any day between 9:00 AM and 5:00 PM. You will tell the person who takes your reservation the stop and time at which you wish to be picked up as well as your destination, name and telephone number. You should be at the stop a few minutes before your scheduled pick-up time. Note that the drivers will go to the pick-up point and do not go to the door.
You will not be able to use Dial-A-Ride in Finley until you have been deemed eligible).
