Columbia Park Shuttle - First Monday after the last day of
school for summer break through the third Saturday in August. This
shuttle is for groups of 30 or more that wish to go into Columbia Park via
the Family Fishing Pond and the Playground of Dreams. Shuttle is available
from 8 am until 6 pm with five days advance notice. Shuttle will leave from
the Dayton Transfer Point in Kennewick or Three Rivers Transit Center.
July
Allied Arts Show - Last Friday and Saturday in July. Shuttle runs from Fran
Rish Stadium to Carmichael Middle School to the Richland Community
Center 8:30 am - 9 pm on Friday and 8:30 am - 7 pm on Saturday. The fare is $1.25 per person each way or $3.50 for a family of 3 or more. Seniors and disabled may ride for $ .60 with an official BFT Identification Card.
Columbia Cup Boat Races - Last Friday, Saturday, Sunday in July.
FRIDAY & SATURDAY - For service into the park on Friday and Saturday,
riders can utilize Route 55 leaving the Dayton Transfer Center in
Kennewick every hour from 8:00 am with the last trip at 6:00 pm. Dial-
A-Ride service is available, but reservations must be made by 5 pm on
Thursday for Friday and by noon on Friday for Saturday. The fare is $1.25
for adults and 80¢ for children 18 and under. Seniors and supervised
children 5 and under can ride for free. Passes and tickets will be accepted
Friday and Saturday as well.
SUNDAY - Ben Franklin Transit will be offering service to and from the Columbia Cup races on Sunday from Richland's Knight Street Transit Center and the Huntington Transit Center in Kennewick. Shuttles will depart both transit centers at 8, 9, 10 and 11 am and drop passengers at a designated area in Columbia Park. Shuttles will depart from the Columbia Park bus zone 15 minutes after the last race and return to those Transit Centers. For those who ride the Shuttle into Columbia Park from the Huntington or Knight Street Transit Centers and wish to leave early, Ben Franklin Transit will offer hourly shuttle service from Columbia Park's bus zone back to the Knight Street and Huntington Street Transit Centers between 11 am and 3 pm. The fare is $1.25 per person each way or $3.50 for a family of 3 or more. Seniors and disabled may ride for $ .60 with an official BFT Identification Card.
August
Prosser Wine * Food Fair - Second Saturday in August. A Shuttle
Service Loop serving the local motels, R.V. Park, Art Fiker Stadium, Hogue
Winery Parking Lot and Train Depot will begin at 1:00 pm and run until
9:00 pm to transport people to and from the WSU Experiment Station.
Prosser residents that require service to and from their homes, must book
rides before by 3:00 p.m. on Friday before the Saturday of the festival.
Benton-Franklin Fair & Rodeo - Last Tuesday-Saturday in August.
Buses will depart from the Knight Street Transit Center in Richland, TRAC/
Holiday Inn Express south parking lot in Pasco (watch for signs), the 22nd
Avenue Transit Center in Pasco, as well as Tri-Tech Skills Center and
Lampson Stadium in Kennewick. Prosser residents need to ride Route 170
to connect with the Fair Bus in Richland. Buses depart every hour from 9
am until 5:00 pm and every half hour from 5 pm until 11 pm. Buses will
depart the fairgrounds returning back to shuttle location until midnight.
Service from the West Richland Transit Center: During the day riders
will use the Route 120 Eastbound to connect with the Knight Street
shuttle. In the evening there will be one shuttle at 7:10 pm from the West
Richland Transit Center to the fair & rodeo with one stop in Richland.
There will be one express bus back to West Richland, Benton City and
Prosser that will depart from the fairgrounds at 10:30 pm.
The fare is $1.25 per person each way or $3.50 for a family of 3 or more. Seniors and disabled may ride for $ .60 with an official BFT Identification Card.
More Fair Information
Dial-A-Ride service is available for eligible patrons from 9 am through
midnight every day of the fair with a one day advance reservation.
During fair week there will be no lift equipped vehicles on the regular
fixed routes. Customers needing lift equipped buses will be allowed to
ride Dial-A-Ride during this time with an advance reservation.
Night Service does not serve the Benton-Franklin Fair.
October
Pumpkin Patch on Road 68 in Pasco - The Route 67 bus will deviate
to the Pumpkin Patch. Advance notice needed at least 24 hours in
advance by calling Customer Service at 735-5100.
December
Cable Bridge Run - Usually the 3rd Saturday in December. The 5K & 10 K
races finish at the Lampson Maintenance Shop in Big Pasco. A shuttle bus
will be provided to transport runners from the 1 mile finish line to the
maintenance shop and then back to the starting line with the shuttle
leaving approximately every 30 minutes.
