PRESS RELEASE: Ben Franklin Transit Board of Directors Approves “Youth Ride Free” Program Beginning June 1
Washington State legislators recently approved the new “Move Ahead Washington” transportation package – a $17 billion, 16-year transportation package with $3 billion designated for public transit. Governor Inslee is expected to sign the funding package on March 25.
All Ben Franklin Transit bus routes, Dial A Ride and CONNECT Services will be suspended at 6:30 PM tonight due to hazardous driving conditions. Buses will service the last scheduled stops prior to 6:30 PM.

On Thursday, November 11, Ben Franklin Transit’s (BFT) General Manager, Gloria Boyce, notified the Board of Directors of her intention to retire in early 2022. Ms. Boyce will continue to serve the agency through January 31, 2022.
The Ben Franklin Transit (BFT) Board of Directors released the agency’s 2022 Annual Service Plan and accompanying Title VI service equity analysis for release for public comment at the regular monthly Board meeting on Thursday, October 14, 2021.
