Ben Franklin Transit 2026 Art Bus Contest Winners Reception
On Monday, May 18, from 6–7 p.m. at the Three Rivers Transit Center, Ben Franklin Transit will host a reception honoring the winning artists of the BFT Art Bus Contest, along with their teachers and family members. The event celebrates the talented students and their creative designs that help bring color, creativity, and community spirit to BFT.
Ben Franklin Transit 2026 Art Buses to Visit Winning Students’ Schools
The Ben Franklin Transit (BFT) 2026 Art Buses will make a Victory Tour to local high schools on
Tuesday, May 19, in recognition and celebration of the students who designed the winning artwork featured on
this year’s coach and Dial-A-Ride vehicles. First, second, and third place winners were selected in the BFT
Student Art Contest in Traditional Art and Digital Art categories out of over 150 entries. You can view the BFT Art
Buses and meet the talented student winners on the following schedule:
8:00-9:00 a.m. Southridge High School
3520 Southridge Blvd., Kennewick
Winner to be honored: Haven
9:30-11:00 a.m. Kamiakin High School
600 N. Arthur St., Kennewick
Winners to be honored: Claire, Gunner, Angelina, Casie, Nicole, Benjamin, Lily
11:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m. Tri-Tech Skills Center
5929 W. Metaline Ave., Kennewick
Winners to be honored: Belen, Madison, Esmeralda
1:00-2:00 p.m. Chiawana High School
8125 W. Argent Rd., Pasco
Winner to be honored: Jennifer
BFT is proud to recognize and reward the arts in education through this annual student competition and
thanks our local art teachers for their support. Additionally, we would like to recognize the City of Richland
Arts Commission, who made the final selections. The BFT Student Art Contest would not be possible without
the support of our community partners.
