Ride Free on Election Day

Ben Franklin Transit (BFT) will be free to use on November 3, 2026. Regular bus routes, CONNECT, and Dial-A-Ride trips are all included in this fare-free day.

We want everyone to be able to get to the nearest ballot box quickly and easily to participate in the general election, without the price of a bus pass holding you back.

In Benton County, if you need to register to vote on Election Day, you can use Route 1 or Route 48 to easily access temporary voter services at the Three Rivers Convention Center. In Franklin County, you can use Route 64 to visit the new Elections Center on W. Clark Street in Pasco if you need to register to vote on Election Day.

For those who just need to drop off a completed and signed ballot, you can find a complete map of ballot boxes and bus routes in our Voting Map below.

Dial-A-Ride customers should book Election Day trips as usual, either over the phone, online, or through the Book BFT app. As a reminder, Dial-A-Ride trips must be booked at least 24 hours in advance to allow proper scheduling.

BFT drivers will also be handing out free stickers to riders on Election Day.
