Interlocal Government Agreements

RCW 39.34.040 permits local government entities to enter into interlocal agreements with other public agencies. By cooperatively sharing resources, everyone benefits.

Under RCW 39.34.040, Ben Franklin Transit has executed interlocal agreements with other public agencies for several years.

Effective June 7, 2006, RCW 39.34.040 was amended to permit a public agency to list interlocal agreements on its website instead of having the agreement filed with the county auditor’s office.

The interlocal agreements to comply with RCW 39.34.040 are posted below. The Benton and Franklin County Auditors’ Offices have not recorded these agreements.
