During extreme heat, BFT Transit Centers allow riders to board waiting buses to stay cool. These air-conditioned buses provide a temporary refuge from the heat, offering relief while you wait. In addition to this, the Benton Franklin Health District has designated several official cooling centers where residents can go to escape high temperatures. These centers, located in community centers, libraries, and other public buildings, are open during peak heat hours.
