Route 2X Access Improvements

Route 2X is being reviewed to improve how easy and safe it is for people to reach busA rubber-tired transit vehicle designed for roadway operation to transport a large number of persons for public transportation service. In most cases, it operates with a self- contained source of motive power. More stops from nearby homes, workplaces, and destinations. The study highlights two priority areas where improvements could make the biggest difference. These areas were chosen based on the types of upgrades that may be possible. A brief overview of each area is provided below:

Route 2X Focus Areas:

• Area 1 – Downtown Richland
• Area 2 – Columbia Basin College

These areas are being reviewed to improve safety and make it easier for people to get around. In some places, changes are being considered because of past vehicle or pedestrian accidents.
