With Ben Franklin Transit, it's easy to get where you're going

All Ben Franklin Transit routes are numbered and schedule books are coded with colors and line patterns to match the colors and patterns on our map. The schedule books are free of charge and can be found at some government, civic and business facilities throughout the Tri-Cities, West Richland, Prosser and Benton City. They also can be found on all Ben Franklin Transit buses and at the Three Rivers Transit Center.

Ben Franklin Transit has routes serving Kennewick, Pasco, Richland, West Richland, Prosser, and Benton City.

During your travel you may have to change buses in order to get to your destination. By tracing your bus route on the map you will find that it connects with other routes at locations called TRANSIT CENTERS or TRANSFER POINTS. Buses are scheduled to arrive at the TRANSIT CENTERS at approximately the same time and leave at the same time so transferring from bus to bus is simple to do and easy to understand.

Hours Of Operation

BFT does not operate and all offices are closed on the following holidays:

  • New Year’s Day
  • Memorial Day
  • Independence Day (4th of July)
  • Labor Day
  • Thanksgiving
  • Christmas

BFT operates according to the Saturday Service schedules on the following holidays:

  • New Year’s Eve
  • Martin Luther King Day
  • President’s Day
  • Veterans Day
  • Friday after Thanksgiving
  • Christmas Eve (last trip at 1 PM).
  • The Customer Service Center will be open from 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.

What if I get lost?

You can board our buses with the confidence that you’ll never be lost. If you need help, ask your driver! They're happy to help you get where you're going. If you need further assistance, please call 735-5100.

Have a pencil and paper ready when you call. The Customer Service Representatives will want to know:

  • Where you are (city, address or intersection)
  • Where you want to go
  • When you want to get there

Bus Stops

Bus stops are blue, white and gold. Call 735-5100 for the location of the stops you need for your trip. The signs at the TRANSIT CENTERS are color and pattern coordinated with the system map and with the individual route schedules.

Lose Something While Riding The Bus?

Found items are turned into the Customer Service Center. Call to verify that they have been turned in to our Lost & Found: 735-5100.

To pick up at item, visit our Customer Service Center at Three Rivers Transit Center. Please have a detailed description of the item and a valid photo ID with you. If you wish to designate someone else to pick up your property you must notify us of the designated persons name. The designated person must bring a valid ID with them to claim the item.   

Customer Service will keep a recovered item for 60 days. If not claimed in that 60 days the item will be donated to a local charity. 

Snow & Ice Alert
